Recovering from Surgery on Mackinaw Road
Wednesday, 25-July-2007 - Bay City, MI - Had a good night's sleep. Jogged on Delta, Fraser, Weiss and Mackinaw roads. Met Beth Engerer, Roger Rueger, and the Wiecks along the way. Met nurse Lynn, home caregiver Jill, and physical therapist Piotr who take care of Mom. Ministry Assitant Mr Opel visited Mom in the afternoon. Went out to eat Japanese food with Jane.
I was born in 1949. We lived by a big hickory tree, near a creek on a corner of my grandpa's farm in Amelith, a church community five miles from the edge Bay City, Michigan, USA. I often wondered if this tree was standing when my ancestors Christina Barbara Feinauer and Johann Georg Weiss arrived here from Bavaria one hundred years earlier. See my "Big Hickory Tree" post in my Dale's Daily Planet blog. Note to readers:Links to my photos posted before 2-Aug-2016 no longer work. Please let me know if you would like to view these photos, and I will repair the link. Thank you. dale.weiss.planet@gmail.com
